Sigma 24RV16
The 24RV16 is a two position, two-way normally closed,
pressure relieving (spring/sensing plunger operated), flow
control valve. It has excellent pressure relief and reset
repeatability. Relief Valves or Pressure Safety Valves (PSV)
are most commonly used to prevent abnormal pressure
increases in hydraulic control circuits. As the operating
pressure within a control circuit increases to or above a
predetermined pressure setting, it will be dispersed through
the Relief Valve’s Exhaust port.
Turning the Spring Housing clockwise will increase the Relief
Valve pressure setting. Rotating the Spring Housing
counterclockwise will decrease the Relief Valve pressure
setting. Once the exact pressure relief setting required is
achieved, the Lock Nut should be tightened against the
Spring Housing to maintain the appropriate setting.
